In Part 3, at a hotel in Singapore, Joseph uses his Stand, Hermit Purple, on a TV to read DIO's thoughts. The broadcast pieces together a warning that there is a traitor among them, Kakyoin. Then DIO, far away, senses he is being spied on and shouts "Joseph Joestar!" followed by this line, and the TV is destroyed.

The full line starts with "Joseph Joestar!", and DIO's dramatic pose toward the screen made the scene famous; in the 2014 TV anime it appears in episode 8. Fans may also say it, half-jokingly, when they feel someone is watching them or peeking at their screen.

•「きさま」= "you", a hostile, insulting form. •「見ている」= are watching (~ている = ongoing action). •「な」= sentence ending that confirms a suspicion. •「ッ」= a sharp, cut-off ending.

きさま is written 貴様, and both 貴 (noble) and 様 look polite, but today it is a very rude word for "you". Never use it with real people.
