In Howl's Moving Castle, the wizard Howl moans this after his hair changes color. Sophie had cleaned the bathroom and moved his bottles of hair spells around, so when Howl comes out of his bath, his golden hair has turned a strange color. In despair he oozes green slime, and Sophie, who has never felt beautiful, cries and runs out into the rain.

Cultural Context:
