『SLAM DUNK』
In SLAM DUNK, Kaede Rukawa, the cool first-year ace of Shohoku High, says this over and over to his rival Hanamichi Sakuragi. Whenever Sakuragi picks a fight with him, shows off, or does something reckless, Rukawa answers with this one short word and almost no expression.

It is known as Rukawa's verbal tic toward Sakuragi. Between the two rivals the word can carry teasing or even a kind of trust. Friends may also say it to each other jokingly, but it is rude to strangers.

•「ど」= a prefix that makes a word stronger, as in ど真ん中 (dead center). •「あほう」= fool, idiot (often shortened to あほ).

Whether あほ or ばか sounds harsher depends on the region: in Kansai あほ is often the softer one. Either way, どあほう is strong, so use it only with close friends.
