Original Scene & Cultural Context

Scene in the Original Work:

In Demon Slayer, after Rui of the Lower Moons is killed, Muzan Kibutsuji summons the remaining Lower Moons to the Infinity Castle. He appears in the form of a woman, and Mukago, Lower Moon Four, apologizes that she did not recognize him because his appearance and presence had changed. Muzan snaps this line and adds, "Do not speak by your own petty will." He then blames them one by one for being weak.

Cultural Context:

Because Muzan punishes his subordinates no matter what they say, fans call this scene the "Power Harassment Meeting" (パワハラ会議), and it became a widespread internet meme. It is from Chapters 51-52 (Volume 6) of the manga and Episode 26 of the anime. Business articles have even used Muzan as an example of an unreasonable boss. It may also be quoted as a joke about an overbearing boss.
