Original Scene & Cultural Context

Scene in the Original Work:

In the Drum House, the cowardly Zenitsu and a young boy, Shoichi, are cornered by a demon with a long tongue, and Zenitsu faints from fear. Still asleep, with his eyes closed, he takes his stance, says this, and cuts off the demon's head in a flash. When he wakes up, he does not remember doing it.

Cultural Context:

Under his master Jigoro Kuwajima, Zenitsu could learn only the First Form of Thunder Breathing, so he polished it to the limit. He later develops it into versions such as Sixfold, Eightfold and Godspeed. Saying the breathing style, the form number and the name in a row is the standard way techniques are named in Demon Slayer, and fans may imitate it in play.
