使用シーン：
R2最終話（第25話）。皇帝となったルルーシュは、天空要塞ダモクレスの鍵を持つ妹ナナリーと向き合う。兄に世界を手にする資格はないと言うナナリーに、ルルーシュは、隠れて暗殺におびえる生活がよかったのか、お前の未来のためでもあったと返す。ナナリーは「いつ私がそんなことを頼みましたか？」と言い、こう続ける。このあとルルーシュは、ギアスで鍵を奪う。
In the final episode of R2 (episode 25), Lelouch, now emperor, faces his younger sister Nunnally, who holds the key to the flying fortress Damocles. She says he has no right to take the world. He asks if she would rather have kept hiding in fear of assassins, saying it was also for her future. She answers 「いつ私がそんなことを頼みましたか？」 and then says this. Lelouch then takes the key by using Geass on her.
文化的な背景：
歩くことも目を開けることもできなかったナナリーは、ルルーシュが反逆を始めた理由そのもので、彼は妹のために優しい世界を作ろうとしていた。そのため、この言葉は兄がしてきたことの目的を根本から否定するものになっている。このあとルルーシュは最後の計画「ゼロレクイエム」を実行し、ナナリーは息絶える兄の手に触れて、初めてその本当の思いを知る。頼んでもいない「あなたのため」に振り回されたときに、ため息まじりに口にすることもある。
Nunnally, who could neither walk nor see, is the reason Lelouch started his rebellion: he wanted to make a gentle world for her. So her words deny the very purpose of everything he had done. After this, Lelouch carries out his final plan, the Zero Requiem, and only as he dies does Nunnally touch his hand and learn his true feelings. It may also be quoted, with a sigh, when someone did too much "for your sake" that you never asked for.
