鼓屋敷で鬼・響凱と戦う炭治郎。前の戦いのけがが治らないまま、鼓で部屋を回され、爪のような斬撃に襲われて、心が折れそうになる。「俺は長男だから我慢できたけど…」と思ったあと、このセリフで自分を励まし、戦い続ける。
Tanjiro fights the drum demon Kyogai in the Drum House. His wounds from the last battle have not healed, and as the demon's drum spins the rooms and sends claw-like slashes at him, he nearly loses heart. After thinking "I'm the eldest son, so I could endure it...", he cheers himself on with this line and keeps fighting.
