Cultural Context:

Sazae Fuguta is a cheerful, scatterbrained housewife who lives with her husband Masuo, their son Tarao and her own family, the Isonos. At first the greeting was 「わたくし、サザエでございます」, and it changed from time to time until the current version was fixed in April 1983. The same recording has been used ever since, for over 40 years. でございます is a very polite form, and saying it in a bright, stretched voice makes it friendly. It may also be used jokingly when answering the phone or greeting people, as in 「〇〇でございまーす」.
