In Your Name., Mitsuha, the shrine maiden of the small mountain town of Itomori, shouts this toward the town from the shrine's stone steps on the night of the kuchikamizake ritual. Classmates had watched her chew rice and spit it out to make sacred sake, and teased her. Fed up, she first yells "I hate this town! I hate this life!", then this wish, while her little sister Yotsuha looks on in disbelief.
