In the Mugen Train arc, Rengoku is fatally wounded by Upper Rank Three Akaza, who flees before the sunrise. Rengoku calls Tanjiro over and tells him he believes in Nezuko. Then he says this line and goes on: however crushed you are by your own weakness, set your heart ablaze and face forward. He smiles at a vision of his mother and dies.
These are Rengoku's last words to Tanjiro, and the part that follows, 「心を燃やせ」, became the catchphrase of the 2020 film. 胸を張る means to be proud and confident. Rengoku tells Tanjiro, who is in tears, not to be ashamed but to keep living proudly. It may also be quoted to encourage someone who has lost confidence.
