In volume 16 of Rokudenashi Blues, Taison Maeda, a delinquent at Teiken High who dreams of becoming a boxing champion, says this bluntly to someone who acts as if they live all on their own. Under the rough words, he is telling them that people support each other.
Maeda is a fighter, but he cares deeply about his friends, and the series has many rough lines with a warm meaning like this one. It may also be quoted, half-jokingly, to a friend who refuses help. The バァーカ at the end is rough, so be careful whom you say it to.
•「一人で」= by oneself. •「〜んだよ」= explaining with emphasis.
〜てんじゃねー alone can be a rough ban (触ってんじゃねー = stop touching it). But here 〜んだよ follows, so it means 生きているのではない: "it's not that you live alone", not "stop living".
