Original Scene & Cultural Context
Scene in the Original Work:
In anime episode 26, after Rui of the Lower Moons is killed, the remaining Lower Moon demons are summoned to the Infinity Castle. Muzan appears in the form of a woman, and at first they do not recognize him. When he says this line, they realize who he is and throw themselves to the floor. He then asks why the Lower Moons are so weak and kills them one by one, sparing only Enmu.

アニメ第26話。下弦の伍・累が倒された後、残りの下弦の鬼たちが無限城に集められる。女性の姿で現れた無惨に、鬼たちは最初誰だか気づかない。無惨がこのセリフを言うと、ようやく正体に気づいてひれ伏す。無惨は「なぜ下弦の鬼はそれほど弱いのか」と問い、魘夢以外を次々と殺していく。
Cultural Context:
The line shows Muzan's absolute rule, and fans call this scene the 「パワハラ会議」 ("power-harassment meeting"). 「何がまずい?言ってみろ」 from the same scene is also famous. Old, stiff words make it even scarier. It may also be said as a joke, for example in the voice of a cat that acts like the boss of the house.

Grammar & Learning Points
Grammar Point
•「頭(こうべ)」= an old word for head. •「垂れる」= to lower, hang down. •「蹲う(つくばう)」= to crouch down. •「平伏する」= to prostrate oneself. •「蹲え」「平伏せよ」= stiff, commanding imperative forms.
日本語で読む
•「頭(こうべ)」は「頭(あたま)」の古い言い方。•「垂れる」は下に下げること。•「蹲う」はしゃがみこむこと。•「平伏する」は地面にひれ伏すこと。•「蹲え」「平伏せよ」は古風で強い命令形。
Trap for English Speakers
頭 here is read こうべ, not あたま. These are archaic, harsh commands; in daily life people say 頭を下げる (to bow), and even that, as an order, sounds rude.
日本語で読む
ここでの「頭」は「あたま」ではなく「こうべ」と読む。どれも古風で強い命令で、日常では「頭を下げる」が普通。それでも命令すると失礼になる。
