Cultural Context:

DIO is strong and clever, and he looks down on humans. Jotaro's answer says DIO lost not because of strategy but because he made the wrong person angry. The line is one of the most quoted in Part 3. It may also be used as a joke when someone has finally gone too far.

Grammar & Learning Points

Grammar Point

•「てめー」= you (very rough, from 手前). •「おれ」= I, me (casual, male). •「怒らせた」= made (someone) angry; causative 怒らせる in the past.
日本語で読む
•「てめー」は「手前」がくずれた、かなり乱暴な二人称。•「おれ」は男性のくだけた一人称。•「怒らせた」は「怒る」の使役形「怒らせる」の過去形。

Trap for English Speakers

怒らせる is causative: "to make someone angry". It is not passive ("was angered" is 怒られる, which actually means "got scolded"). てめー is very rude and only for enemies or rough speech.
日本語で読む
「怒らせる」は使役で「相手を怒らせる」。受け身の「怒られる」は「叱られる」という意味になるので注意。「てめー」はとても乱暴な言い方で、敵やけんか口調でしか使わない。
