Original Scene & Cultural Context
Scene in the Original Work:
In the film Macross: Do You Remember Love?, Warera and two other Zentradi soldiers sneak into the city of Macross. Their race keeps men and women apart, so when they see men and women living together, they cry, "Zentran te Meltran!? (Men and women!?)" and then "Yack... deculture!" in shock.

Cultural Context:
It is a word in the made-up Zentradi language, said to mean "No way!" or "How horrifying!". In the film the full line is "Yack deculture", but the short "Deculture!" spread among fans. Later Macross works use it to mean "amazing!", and it may also be used, half-jokingly, when something is shockingly great.
