Original Scene & Cultural Context

Cultural Context:
"Shuwatchi" is the popular name for Ultraman's cry, not a word he clearly says. In the actual 1966 show, the voice sounds closer to "Juwa!". One theory says the spelling spread through manga gags such as Fujio Akatsuka's Tensai Bakabon, and it was later used officially as well. People may also shout it half-jokingly while copying Ultraman's flying pose.

Trap for English Speakers
シュワッチ is how fans write the cry, not the exact sound. If you listen to the show, it sounds more like ジュワッ. Don't expect to hear a clear "chi" at the end.
