Yoji Yamada's film series starring Kiyoshi Atsumi as Tora-san, a wandering peddler who keeps coming home to Shibamata in Tokyo and falling in love. With 48 films from 1969 to 1995, it is known as one of the longest film series with the same lead actor. "Once you say that, it's all over" is one of Tora-san's familiar lines.
