In manga chapter 15, the special-grade curse Jogo attacks Gojo, and Gojo brings Itadori along to watch the fight. Jogo expands his domain, Coffin of the Iron Mountain. Gojo says the best way to deal with a domain is a domain, and answers with this. Flooded with endless information, Jogo cannot move at all.

原作第15話。特級呪霊・漏瑚が五条を襲い、五条は虎杖を連れて来て戦いを見学させる。漏瑚が領域「蓋棺鉄囲山」を展開すると、五条は「領域に対する最も有効な手段は領域」と言い、このセリフで自分の領域を展開する。無限の情報を流し込まれた漏瑚は、まったく動けなくなる。
Cultural Context:
Inside Unlimited Void, the target perceives everything at once and can do nothing. In the Shibuya Incident, Gojo opens it for only 0.2 seconds so that the ordinary people caught in it survive. The hand sign Gojo makes when opening it is popular, and fans may imitate it. 「領域展開」 may also be used as a joke when someone takes over a room with their things.
