At the start of the Tanker chapter of Metal Gear Solid 2 (2001), Solid Snake runs across the George Washington Bridge on a rainy night and, hidden by stealth camouflage, jumps down onto a tanker below. Landing on the deck and showing himself, Snake says this line as if speaking to the player.

Cultural Context:
Metal Gear is Hideo Kojima's stealth game series, and Akio Otsuka voices Snake in Japanese. After MGS2, the line became a signature of the series; at the opening of Ground Zeroes, Big Boss says it too. It was also used in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008), where Snake appears. It may also be used jokingly when you show up late or make a dramatic return.
