Scene in the Original Work:
In Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Dai and his friends storm the palace of the Great Demon King Vearn, but are overpowered in their first battle with him. Popp tries to escape with the teleport spell Rula (Zoom), but the barrier around the palace throws them back. Vearn then says this. In the 2020 anime, it appears in episode 57.

Cultural Context:
