An animated film released in Japan on July 19, 1997, distributed by Toei. Made by Gainax and Production I.G with Hideaki Anno as chief director and writer, it retells the last two episodes of the TV series Neon Genesis Evangelion: the episode "Air" was directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki and "Sincerely Yours" by Anno.
