In episode 1, Lelouch is caught up in the fighting in the Shinjuku Ghetto. He and the mysterious girl C.C. are cornered by Prince Clovis's royal guard, and C.C. is shot while shielding him. She makes a contract with him and gives him the power of Geass. Lelouch gives this order using his real name as a prince of Britannia. The soldiers answer, "Yes, Your Highness!" and kill themselves.

Cultural Context:
This is the set phrase Lelouch uses to cast Geass. He uses it many times in the series and changes the order at the end, as in 「お前達は私の奴隷となれ！」. Here, the exiled prince who had hidden his real name uses it for the first time, as the start of his rebellion against his own country. It may also be used as a joke when giving a playful order, as in 「〇〇が命じる。宿題を手伝え！」.
