Original Scene & Cultural Context

Scene in the Original Work:

When Lupin flirts with Fujiko Mine, he calls her name in a sweet, stretched-out voice like this. He sometimes leaps at her through the air, shedding his clothes on the way, but she usually dodges him or tricks him, and he ends up empty-handed.

Cultural Context:

This is a running gag across the series, not a line from one single scene. The flying jump is known as the 「ルパンダイブ」 (Lupin dive). Lupin was voiced by Yasuo Yamada and, from 1995, by Kanichi Kurita, and this call is a staple of Lupin impressions. It may also be imitated as a joke when calling someone in a sweet voice.
